Positive Interruptions is inspired by the nature of music—specifically jazz music. The work blends individuality and community, allowing for performers to soar above the ensemble without disrupting the collective energy. Unless of course, they want to!

Jazz music creates space for each artist to decide the ‘tone’ in a way unique to themselves. By blending choreography with improvisational flare, Positive Interruptions explores a similar aesthetic.
